What's 'football'?

The moden version of 'bread and circuses' of ancient Rome.

Not quite!!   The bread and circuses were free for the plebs  in Rome,  Have you seen the price   of a Premier League match and a pie???

It's the price of a pint at Quin's that get's me  :banghead: The pies are quite reasonable, especially the Balti one
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That’s ace darkmaster. Only thing that would make it better is if it was a Leeds United aircraft (serial 030110 ) shooting down the Man United one, as all Leeds fans actually really do hate them – they epitomise everything that is wrong with football today, especially the premier league: FA favouritism (such as their special dispensation for FA Cup ticket allocations at Old Trafford), sky sports arm chair generation, football only started in 1992, Americanisation (EPL, Super Sunday etc.), only one ‘united’/‘city’ (…tonight Jeff ‘united’ are playing Newcastle/Leeds/Sheffield/West Ham etc….), Champions League loving (where you can get in after finishing 4th!), clubs who are more concerned with flogging shirts in the Far East than the opinions of their bread and butter, local fanbase, the soulless, passionless, prefab bowls of stadiums (some exceptions like Anfiled, Villa Park and Goodison Park which are proper grounds with history) filled with happy clapping fans who only jump into life when they start playing that stupid music after a goal. If I saw any of that at Elland Road I’d stop going to home games!  :banghead:  ;D

Probably cheaper than what I’m paying at Elland Road for second tier football. £31 per ticket (plus online ‘Bates tax’ of £1 per item/ticket)

Sorry about the rant chaps!

I did say the modern version, so of course money is extorted for the plebs to watch. and yes I AM a Cynic.
