Not a new idea in the real or Whiff world, but since it could be used in service with the USAF Special Forces in 17 months time, seems whiffable.
From what I have seen,  the plan is to use a pair of floats attached to the main landing gear in a purpose designed frame on castors for moveablity on hard surfaces.
I have built a 1/72 C-130H with an air cushion landing system and I did toy with using the Japanese PS-1 as a kitbash with a C-130J which could work or using the Mach2 Martin SeaMaster another kitbash with a twist. Yes jet powered C-130J.
Some parts will be scratch built
You could even use the Be-200 in 1/144 scale as a donor kit. For your kitbash.

Helping my buddy McColm here figure out how to post pics to this forum!!  He's already figured out the hard stuff, we just got to get the refinements done.

Thanks for doing this for me.
The donor kit is the Airfix Lockheed C-130H,  engines came from a Frog Avro Shackleton MR.3,  rotodome Grumman E-2C Hawkeye and I'm not too sure about the hull.
