The Wooksta!

Some time back, I posted finished pics of my Spitfire FR26 based on the Final Touch/Kitbits abortion of a Seafire FR47. (See here: http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,30674.0 ).

Anyhoo, a dig through some old folders on Orac yielded these photos of the parallel PR25.  I say parallel, these were taken a year or so prior to even getting the basis for the FR26.  I think these were taken after I'd done some clean up and should give you an idea of the utter cackness and sheer horribleness of the base kit.

Note the candy coloured replacement fin and tailplane.  The filler at the wing root is a noxious blend of superglue and baking soda.  Note also the horrid resin and the rubbish profile of the wing.  Very poor indeed.

The Wooksta!

Recently had a look at this and howked off the wings.  It's going to get rebuilt but with some better ones at some stage.  It'll still be a PR25 though.
