I have just tried using Mr Hobby Mr Metal Color aluminium for the first time. It goes on beautifully by brush and airbrush. However: several hours later it still comes off on my fingers. It is supposed to be dry in 10 minutes.  What have I done wrong?

Thanks

Van

I guess noone knows...
I have abandoned using it anyway as the fumes are SO toxic!

I haven't used it but I suspect it could be one or more of the following:

1. Surface finish before using.  Perhaps the wrong or not totally dry undercoat?
2. Insufficiently mixed.
3. Mixed with incorrect thinners?

AIUI, these generally are what most problems with paint come down to.

I used them a few times with mixed results. i found it would still come off on my fingers a long time after use. But if you used a varnish over it you lost the effect. Although it did look like anodised aluminium then. I didn't try using Kleer/Future on it, that may give a better result. I have  to admit I went back to using rattlecans.
