My Eagle 1999 inspired entry for the Sci Fi TB

HMS Wyvern is a Dragon Class Escort Carrier and comes equipped with 3 x Stingray Attack Bombers and 3 x Thunderbolt Light Attack Craft. She also carries 2 extra craft of each type struck down which can be reassembkled to replace combat losses.  The Dragon class was a conversion of a standard  Container merchant freighter in this case based on the Eagle class  freighter designed by Allder & Johnson Shipyards

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

The Rat

Looks a bit Gerry Anderson, a bit Gundam, and a bit inspired lunacy. In other words, great!

Nice!!!  The front end actually sorta looks like the Athena type ship from the end of the (horrid) Starship Troopers movie from the 90's.  Good designs from the movie, just horrible treatment of the source material.

EDIT:  OK, so it actually looks more like the Rodger Young, but I was thinking it would fit more between the Young and the Athena as an interim ship...

I exist to pi$$ others off!!!

I always found it easier to just take the movie as-is, and not to think about the book at all. Then it's good fun.

Good stuff, tc - I love the use of "found objects" here.
