Hello!
Just another idea. I won't pretend this is the greatest one!!! :-\
Well this transformation didn't gave me a lot of work.. :banghead:
Altaya's diecast M3 LEE (1/72), without turret, and very small modifications.. And this is not perfect... sorry about that!!
well let's imagine that Rommel succeed in invading egyptian border. Commonwealth's forces are in the north of the country supported by the Royal Navy. Lacks of tanks , push the troops to repair this M3 lee (Turret Knock out)...
Some advantages: 37 mm gun was not powerful enough, the tank was to high, and complicated , less staff (a lot of tankers were killed or injured during the fierce fights).

Now that really is one of those ideas you go "why didn't I think of that before" Really well done
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Makes a lot of sense. How about a machine gun on that new top hatch?
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Well, for the machine gun, i've the choice (in my stock) beetween the browning 0.50 (may be to "big") or a Bren (more widespread in british army..)...
What will you prefer??? ;D

PR19_Kit

Historical logic says go with the Bren, but tactical nous says go for the big Browning.  ;D

The 0.5 could be used a 'sighter' for main gun too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

There were a pair of .30cal in the hull, but it would be helpful to have a ring-mounted gun where the turret formerly stood.

Nevertheless, a great model!
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
