As some of you may know, I'm currently building a humorous PBJ B-25 model which is described here:

A sample pic of what the B-25 might look like is this:

But I'm undecided if I should add any white sponge (bread) pieces to the center fuselage on the top as well as the bottom? The bottom of the aircraft center fuselage looks like this:

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

I've said "no" because I think that adding the foam will unbalance the build.

As is it looks good, adding more "bread" along the centreline will bulk up the middle & spoil the sandwich effect.

If I was going that route I would have left the bread off the wings, painted the hull to look like a frankfurter & put a hotdog roll along the fuselage.

Yes, I would probably concur. But on the flip side, the WHOLE aircraft will be covered with a peanut butter paint mixture that I'll be adding sometime soon in the next few weeks, then adding a jelly paint mixture to the TOP of the fuselage and wings only.
Wouldn't it look awkward and "out of place" if the upper and lower center fuselage covered in peanut butter (bottom) and jelly (top) wasn't covered with some thin slices of bread?
But then again, Perhaps you're right. Trying to position thin slices of bread around the cockpit window, upper gun turret, bottom bomb bay doors, etc., etc. might be difficult and look awkward and tacky.
