I hope this helps for "inspiration" of this worthy GB theme!

This old "RegAero '46" build gave me quite a laugh when another poster here said that "my" model was featured in a book (published in Spain, and I now have it!) on the history of early jets, and that this was touted as a REAL Italian jet project!! Though I was never even consulted about how *I* knew about the actual existence of the aircraft (shoddy research, guys), at least "they" gave me credit for making the model and picture (third one down) in the book.

Basically the "Bologna" is a mash-up of a Yak 17 and an Me-262--You know how Italians LOVE trimotors!!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Just ordered the Me-109X from Hannants - should look good in Italian markings

So sequoiaranger, you and PR19 Kit are famous! But all joking aside, the implications in terms of research by any writer/author come down to the plausibility of the whif. Of course it helps that you gentlemen are both extremely good. The flip side is that some writers do not put the necessary effort into their background research. (Please note I am not casting nasturtiums, sorry I meant aspersions on any one!)
If I am targetted by JMNs, I'm in good Company.

No, no, no! You do not die for your country, you make the other one die!

OUTSTANDING!

Congratulations on getting into print.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

i thought we already did something like that last year with the '46 GB, witch covered all aspects from the '46 universe, including the RAI.
i moderated that GB, witch turned out to be a huge succes, it would be definatly worth repeating

Yup you did, and it went very well. Be nice to have a Theme build which concentrates on the "other" combatants as well as the main protagonists. French, Italian, Romanian, Hungarian etc.
