Was just goofing around and ended up with this.  Fuselage is an old fuel tank, canopy is from spares box (me109), engines are from an old B-58 hustler, and I cut the wings up from an old ID badge. Just grey for now, I'll figure out a scheme later

Captain Canada

Pretty neat ! Especially for something cobbled together with spare bits. I'd hack the burner cans off tho, make it look more period.

lol yeah, originally the idea was for a 1941 Kamikaze that would be launched from a seaplane catapult (with a more conventional/simple Fi-103 layout) but ended up kicking around the ascender style layout so that would put it pretty late in the war if at all.  I'll probably end up sawing off the burners or at least filling them in so they're smooth.

Captain Canada

Just judging by their shape in the first pic, with the burners off, they'd look ( to me, anyway, and I'm no Luft' expert ! ) exactly like German jet engines of the mid '40s.

That does look good and as the Capt says cut the burner cans off and it would look right as well
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hey! If you put the navigation lights (glossy) on the ends of the canard, it will look like a hammer-head shark's eyes!!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Burncycle

lol yeah it would

I cut the burners off, does look better. I'll line the inside with brass tubing when I can get my hands on some

Sticky Fingers

If those 'arrow head' cannards are reinforced it could act as a lethal rammer type plane. Slices right through a B-29!
Very Nice Design anyway !

Tophe

Wonderful! Belated congratulations! (sorry I missed this topic, checking only the aircraft sub-part)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]
