have finally got round to doing a bit of modelling... a 1/72 British turretless Chaffee recce (circa 1946 extended WWII). It's actaully based on a diecast/plastic Hobby Master M24 model, so the bodged up a rudimentary interior out of plastic card and various scrap bits and added various bits of stowage. The silver bits are made from Swan Morton scalpel blade packets, wrapped around scrap plastic and tissue paper with masking tape straps. It's since been primed and had a couple of MGs added, more pics to follow.

I like the idea Mike, looking forward to seeing it finished and on a stand near you in the so distant future

Nice idea - kinda of an update on the Stuart recce.

Like the idea of using the Swann Morton packets - good substitute for the late lamented metal toothpaste tubes! Just hope you havn't got a pile of sharp unpacked blades lying around now..... :o ;)

That is a lovely bit of modeling. Now I have to wonder where the turret ends up.
