Painting is back on track today after a bit of a disaster.
I decided to have a go at salt weathering, and it was going pretty well, but it must've rained in the night and the shed roof leaked, so the model got wet, which washed away a lot of the salt...
...sigh...
I couldn't be bothered re-doing all that salt application, so I'm brush painting the model now with Vallejo dessert yellow. I'll be doing late war camo, rather than the basic grey I originally thought of.

And it's just occured to me that I have not posted the completed build pics...

Feet! Feet I tell you! Feet!

Legs! By the great hairy gods! Legs!

By the sacred beards of our forefathers! A mech!

An engine! An engine! My sainted aunt! Tis an engine!

The Germanic Mech is complete! Apart from a name... I know the allied nick-name for it is 'dumbo' but I do not have an official name...

And I am planning to build a more appropriate backdrop for photographing ww2 1/35 mechs...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The one from DUST is called the Panzer AufklärerLaüfer I-A "Heinrich" so maybe some version of that?

Phil, you obviously are not keeping pace with developments in Dust - there are at least three basic Axis mech designs, with three or four variants each since Dust Tactics came out.

Panzergehen was my initial though, I guess that abreviates to PzGhn I. As to names, German tanks tended to be named after big cats, so I figure mechs would be apes. Therefore: PzGhn I. Ausf-A 'Pavian' (Baboon). Nicknamed by US troops 'Dumbo'
