Tried to find it for you but it was too long ago (2009/2010?), on Starship Modeler one of the guys built a steampunk USS Voyager...

... Totally, completely awesome! ... but I can't find it to put a link in here, sorry. :(

It had never even occurred to me before now (not a huge 'Trek fan it must be said), but a 'punked Enterprise sounds awesome! I might even have to give it a go if I can find a cheap kit! Lots of lovely brass and rivets...
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I remember the steampunk Voyager, it was awesome!!  He used two drill armatures for the "warp" engines with lots of cannons on different decks.  I believe the hull was painted and weathered a copper color.

I found it! I found it!

Not on Starship Modeler but on a German language site the builder was a member of.

It's long but you get to see the build progress..... AWESOME!!!!!

An interesting new use for defunct electric motors!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
