Monograms 1/306th USS Ramsey, I compressed the superstructure by a little over 1"- slicing out 3 different sections. I tried the same with the kits hull, but it failed and I fabricated one from pine. Mine scales to 422', about 8' too long. PE rail is generic, and the 5"/38s came from a Tamiya Fletcher. Close enough for my fleet.

Us modern 1/350th guys are kinda limited on available plastic kits

I remember that kit.  I wanted to knock it up as a Coast Guard Cutter...mind you this was about 25 years ago.

And I've got the same complaint about modern airfield do-dads and geejaws in 1/48.  Unless I want to turn a Tamiya Humvee into an aircraft tug, it just ain't happening.

Nice save with the new hull. Isn't it a bit lightly armed with two guns only?

Yeah, I'm awaiting a Veteran Models ASROC launcher to complete her.

That looks pretty darn sharp to me, but then what do I know about warships?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I'll order two for the Free Islands Republic of Kansia. Looks like a good addition.

Nice work on a US warship other than a CV or BB. Glad to see it!
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Same for me on both accounts, but I learn more by reading about these superb builds
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
