I had an old model of the royal Ark to 1/700eme, and I imagined a destiny different from the most famous aircraft carrier of the Royal Navy. 1942, the France still resists the German thrust, the armed forces are severed on the Loire & in the "Breton" concludes. The English had started the construction of the aircraft carrier class more recent that the Ark Royal, decided to transfer to the French the last 2 hulls which will be completed has Brest emergency, late 1940. "Comtat Venaissin" class will be put into service in 1942 and only the "Guyenne" end the war. "Comtat Venaissin" will be sunk by a u-boat in 1944.

The fleet will be composed of Grumman F4F and Vought V156f (I bought them this week but they are still in the aircraft, between China and the France

Interesting.

In my alterantive scenario the French goverment moves to Algiers and fights on from their colonies
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Looking good, should really stand out when the airgroup are onboard in their French colours as that will bring out the difference

As soon as I received the aircraft (I found on E - bay in China) I would put pictures

...were two French aircraft carriers under construction in St. Nazaire as the war began (laid down in 1938). The Joffre was 25% built when France fell in 1940, and the Painleve less so.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Always a good idea to sprinkle an alternative history with some real history.
