This my "supersonic hunter", as it could have been around 1965...

Base from Revell 1/72, with the long resin wings from Freightdog...
Finally, i put a pointy nose with a radar (from a F-104 probably... ) as this kind of aircraft surely needs something more than a big clear canopy to locate enemies...
2 Redtop AA missiles underwings (oh sh*t ! it's no more supersonic !  ;D Well... It is when the missiles are fired ;)).
Colored scheme from an old modeldecal sheet for the lightning, and the red squared tail from xtradecal...

That looks 100% real, and very believable. Liking that, has anyone else done a supersonic hunter? I vaguely remember reading about one on here.
If not, this is cracking interpretation wouldn't you say?

Very nice and the Radar does make a difference , (Colin of Freightdog actually does the 1099 radar nose conversion if anybody wanted to do something similar).

You could go with the Radar Guided Red Top as a more suitable missile (Again another one of Colins products  ;D)

Cracking model #2 there Mr Ten!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The pointed nose is a nice detail that sets the SS Hunter apart. Like the bare metal livery, too.

I've got all Colin sets and the idea was to do exactly that, possibly with a mix of Red Top/Blue Dolphin.  When???  Ermmm....  ;)
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I'd like to do that two seat trainer adaptation with the P.1083 wings and the production tailpipe.
