Some tasty aircraft here. Some of course were never built but their qualification for inclusion comes from having serial numbers allocated. Others like the Gloster F.5/34 get in simply because they were still flying in September 1939.

Thanks Thorvic, now I definitely am treating myself to that for my birthday in July!

Ditto.  A must have.  Don't care how I get the money, I'll be having that.

Ordered mine, should get Tuesday  ;D

Just got an e-mail from Amazon "the item you require is currently out of stock"  :banghead: They will get others but I might look in my local Waterstones before putting on back order as they have had copies of previous book in the series in stock in the past

I got mine from the Ian Allan shop near Waterloo, must admit I didn't think of Waterstones, I mention the Ian Allan shop because I saw a copy on the shelf. Does that help??

Wonder if it is just old stuff just in a new format (there are Midland Press publications from Tony Buttler which just cover almost 100% of the topics mentioned above?) or "really" something new? I am sceptical, since this is the same tactics the publisher used on Soviet aircraft - putting together stock material from various older publications, maybe add one or two things, but actually with little added value when you have the older books at hand.

The Wooksta!

Some of it *may* be reused but much of it is likely to be new.  Tony is not one to do a cut and paste shoddy job and to suggest that this book is such a publication is insulting.

Forgot about Ian Allan. I'll pop in when I'm up town on Friday. Thanks

I just got mine a few days ago from Amazon here in the US.  Nicely done.  I wish there was more detail gone into and that there were more subjects covered but, on the whole, this is well appreciated book that is well executed.  It is not, thankfully, just a "picture" book but does have good write ups and history of the subjects covered.
