Hi all,

Sorry for this looong silence. I was veeeery busy during last weeks :-\

So...

That's the idea. I took me a long time to choose between "marine" and "heer". Finally, I took the second one  :ph34r: ... anyway, I didn't have any decals for the Kriegsmarine  ;D Anyway, next time I will take the time to translate the story which goes with the photos  ;)

Interesting.  Nicely done.  I wonder though, would you need markings under the wing?  Who'd see them, it flies so low!   :thumbsup:
Nervous sub drivers? :blink: .......... ;D

The Russian Ekranoplanes actually can climb well high into the air - nor for long distances, but a kind of "dash and jump". The A-90 has a "service ceiling" of 3.000m!
=> That's right  :smiley:

Anyway, nice idea, even though I agree that "Marine" and the anchor emblem would have been more suitable than "Heer", which is really just Germany's ground force - could make sense if the A-90 was used as a troop transporter or for quick delivery of light vehicles, but it is a bit out of place.
=> That's right  too  :-\ But, please have a look on my comment above  :mellow:

The livery looks flashy, but is debatable - but that's personal taste. To me, it is too much SF, IMHO, a German vessel would either be all-grey (like a normal surface ship), or one of the final Marine aircraft patterns could have been used (e. g. from the Marine Tornados in RLM 7009, 6012 and 7021 or from the German Seakings, the so-called "Alberich" livery)?
=> That's right, it's debatable:  http://www.jpsmodell.de/dc/draw/f4f_n72int1.jpg   ;)

To me, (most of) the ekranoplanes are really udge and impressive. It is some kind of a combat ship more than a plane :blink:

In the same time, I always found really nice the splinter camouflages used during  the two world wars  :wub:

You will find a lot of informations on those two sites:
http://www.shipcamouflage.com/
http://www.laboiteverte.fr/le-dazzle-camouflage-les-bateaux-furtifs-de-la-premiere-guerre-mondiale/

I merged the two ideas to create a "flying combat ship". After another looooog brainstorming phase, I decided to use this scheme:

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Tanx Keith. I am used to show my kits on a french forum wich is not dedicated to what-if creations. The explanations helps me to get my models more understandable by... hum... the "classic kit modelers" (eg. people addict to german Bf 109, US F-16, Japanese zero fighter... do you see what I mean ;D?)

Regards et a bientot  ;)
