or have they gone the way of all things..?

They were present at SMW last year. They don't have a website of their own I think.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks, both. I saw that Hannants stocked them, but seeing as they had no website (I cannot believe that in the second decade of the 21st century that this is a sound business approach) I wondered if they had gone belly up...

Mel Bromley is most certainly still going strong. I last saw him at the Coventry traders fair early in December. He has quite a few possible ideas to look into, after a number of us got talking to him at both SMW and Coventry.

He lives in Rugby, and I have dropped a few heavy hints to him and his missus about getting him to Join IPMS Coventry & Warwickshire.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Let's hope one of the hints was a website  ;)

Is there anything to the whispers of a 72nd Avro Tudor from that source?

I'd say its highly unlikely in 72nd. If Mel does do a Tudor is more likely to be in 1/144th. Mainly due to the sheer cost of the thing to produce and a sky high retail price to make the project pay.

True, although it'd be no bigger than an Avro Ashton.

again true Lee. Cept Magna havent got a warehouse full of I.M. 1/144th Viscounts that arnt shifting quickly enough.

Mel has said he learnt from that debacle and will only deal in projects he can afford or has a fair chance of shifting the full stock of. Plus he doesnt do his own casting......He uses some guy in China.

I always hope for the best.
