Strangely I didn't here any gripes, not to say there wern't any, most people simply recognised it as a wonderfull pice of modelling. I think the UK "scene" is becoming far more open to ideas and in all honesty we the Brotherhood of Wiffery are in some small measure responsible for that  ;D

Me neither, most of the crowd gathered round the model after the contest were totally gobsmacked at the sheer quality of the model as well as the thought process that produced it. I'm pretty sure that was the first time a non-RW model has EVER won the Nationals since they started, and I was at most of them.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Gentlemen, the commencement of the building of the Robida inspired house has commenced to be available of TFH!
I say! View it here!
Especially if one is named Dr. Augustus Yo, Phd (mad) as it is, I assume very close to your own domicile.
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Radish

Excellent stuff.

I'm heavily "into" steampunk and related thingies, and wear my goggles every day.
Got a big fancy dress party arranged for later in the year, and steampunk costumes will feature I'm sure.

I've built one or two steampunked aircraft....a couple of Corsairs, an La-7, and have a Spitfire and Fw-190 awaiting paint, etc..

Many of my contributions to the BIGGLES SIG for 2013 will have steampunked additions.....currently started a Beriev Be-6 for the Luftwaffe as an experimental Blohm and Voss, and a B-25 is planned as a French thingy.
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....
