Glass Used for Control Tower Query

Hey Guys, has Anyone Ever used a Drinking Glass for a Control Tower in a Diorama? the Reason i ask,is Because when i was Planning my ASR Dio, i Bought a Glass Called a 'Funnel Glass' at my Local Dollar Store, and Thought if i Didn't Drink fromit, I'd Use it for the Basis of my Control Tower!  Think it might Work? Very creative! I think control tower normally use flat panes of glass though, because curved panes can distort the view a bit. Maybe use one of those octagonal glasses?

Hobbes,I'm planning to use Plastic from some CD Cases for the Glass. the Funnel Class is a Bright Blue Color,so I'll have to Scuff it up before trying to Paint it.I'll Consider what you said about the  Octagonal Glasses, if i can Find one. Dan

I misunderstood what you're doing; a cilindrical glass would be a good shape for the base of the tower. CD cases could work, but they are rather brittle so they'd be difficult to cut without shattering.
