From eBay, a Bandai 1/60 injection moulding machine:

I received this today. I had assumed this would be moulded in 4 colors:


but apparently they also released a non-colored version. Mine's mostly black, with one section in very dark gray. No big problem, I can always paint it, but kind of a surprise.

IIRC that kit was a very limited edition done for the winners of some sort of contest, or something long those lines. Very limited production run in any case. Is yours definitely an original, or a bootleg?

There's a sticker on the box that says 'Ecopla', and I've found that's a range of Bandai kits that use only one color. Also, the use of 2 colors of plastic on the same sprue (black and dark blue, it turns out after inspection in decent light) suggests the sprue was made on a machine capable of moulding multiple colors, not the low-end machine I'd expect a bootlegger to use.

Good to hear. A lot of Bandai stuff gets ripped off in China...
