There's an obscure(-ish) thread title for you.  ;D

One of my current projects, only existing in my head and the two BIG boxes containing the donor kits currently, would be improved if it had a couple of the 2 x 20 mm cannon mid-upper turrets that the Lincoln and early Shackleton had. The question is where would I get a couple of these without forking out for an entire Lincoln or Shackleton kit.

I actually have both of those kits to hand but I have no means of making copies of the turrets so did anyone ever do these on the add-on market?

All other ideas very welcome too.

Aeroclubs Shackleton MR.2 has them and Flightpaths Lincoln conversion.  I have in the past written to both about buying extra or seperate of these items and got what I had asked for from both.  I think you can also get them from Sanger, but you have to buy the whole white metal package as he won't split them up. Canopies though I don't think are a problem with any of these outfits.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Try contacting John Adams direct for the Aeroclub bits.

BTW, there's a package enroute...

The flightpath Lincoln conversion only has the vacform canopy, no turret, no guns, the Paragon conversion set had the lower turret.

It is actually something that would be a nice add-on set, along with the twin .50 Turrets for the Lancaster & Lincoln or the Martin .50 upper turret on late war Lancasters, without having to procure hard to find and expensive kits or conversion sets.

The Flightpath Lincoln set is woefully short of bits you need (Lincoln wheels, turret interiors, engine adaptors) but by contrast, the Paragon engines just didn't look right.  Combining the best of both gives you a perfect conversion basis but at a condsiderable price.  Better off with a cheap Airfix Lancaster and a Sanger Lincon, plus A2Z Lincoln fins.

Martin turrets?  Few in here:

Squadron do two sets for the Marauder but they're half the price of the above and only enough for one aircraft.  Thieves...

Ahah, yes, I hadn't thought of the Falcon vacform route, thanks Lee!

I may even have that set in The Loft too!  :banghead:
