Model Mutt

Started on this early as a side project while i sort parts for my Vulcan 2000 build. Got the idea from a picture i saw of a scaled up yf-23 as a b-1 replacement, couldnĀ“t find a 1/48 yf-23 so used a f-22 as the base kit. Also used the forward fuselage from a esci tu-22 instead of the F-22 front. Should hopefully be a straight forward build but stuck as to what to use for undercarriage as the t-22 set is being used on the vulcan.

You might be able to get hold of a set of white metal B-1B landing gear, or a set from a kit that hasn't been used. They should be beefy/American enough for the build.

SAC Productions do lots of metal u/c sets, and IIRC Heritage Aviation do some too (Vulcan, Nimrod among others).
