Are they supposed to be "realistic" or something wacky/whiffy?

Many Su-27 prototypes and demo machine carried pretty wild paint schemes, ranging from sand/brown splinter schemes through high contrast air superiority or even a Keith Ferris style scheme to the garish "Greenbottle Fly" scheme of the Su-34. There are even digital/fractal cammo specimens!

My personal favorite: aircraft 701

Otherwise... anything goes!
