That was only the mockup, Kit.  They never actually built a real one.  I understand they were thinking about adding more blades to the edge of the radome to give it a vertical takeoff ability! 

As to the Chinese one, its nearly 20ft longer than the E-2 and they'd need a new wing for folding...
