After three weeks of bombing targets in Kuwait, through the smoke filled air from the oil well fires, this USAF F/A-18 heads for Baghdad with a varied load of ordnance. Attached to the 391st Fighter Squadron in Mountain Home AFB, the Air Force has been evaluating this and 2 other F/A-18s prior to a 1992 order for 100 more.

I learned 3 things from this build:
1) Revells 1/48th F-18 "Blue Angels" was meant to be constructed with the landing gear in the DOWN position.
2) I should have planned a little better, sanding off the wing hinge area...
3) Dilute my wash better next time, I had a heck of a time with cleanup. 1st attempt.

Captain Canada

She looks awesome in those colours ! Always nice to see lots of weapons as well. And it is kind of funny how they molded the gear bays/ doors eh ? It works great if you are planning on leaving them down, but.....

Ian the Kiwi Herder

Nice idea, but with that loadout it might need refueling half way down the runway on the take-off run
