Could easily be a technology demonstrator that has been pushed into the limelight far far earlier than it could have been brought up to a proper physical entity due to political pressure thus producing the r/c flight footage and an unrealistic mock up.

Am I the only one who had trouble seeing where the Intakes are on that bird?  Down-bent wings is odd, and it looks way too small to do much of anything.

Some aviation sites have people who think it is actually a working proposal if kept subsonic. A swarm of attack aircraft attacking mobile columns who lack aircover due to long range SAMs. Iranians are of the opinion that it's a cover for an actual combat aircraft fully up to date with Chinese RAM and weapons. Then it doesn't need to be actually related to the item to be turned over.
