Gentlemen, I have a Flag... I am seeking possible roundels to go with it.  It's heavily based on Mozambique's flag, but the roundel is completely open for concepts.  So, here she is, the flag of the People's Republic of Khodahn.

Ideally I'm looking for something I can paint, so I'd rather geometric patterns... but I'm bust for figuring out a good pattern.

Cobra

how about doing a Hexagon with the Yellow Star inside? Think that would work for You? Dan

For a painting option, how about just using blue-black-blue stripes over the wings, front-t-back (with thin white separation lines between), Norwegian style, kind of? If you feel stylish, you might add a yellow star on top of it. Should look flashy!

Cobra - an interesting idea you have there... maybe a pentagon with the star, that might work...

Dizzy - The plane I'm going to apply them to is in a really wicked camo pattern... so the big stripes doesn't quite work here... but damn, that's a pretty sexy idea, I might have to do that for an airshow-style or dress-colours aircraft...

Still willing to entertain more ideas

There's been suggestion of a Jordanian/Sudanese style Bullseye with a triangle style... it's a possible one.

How about an all-triangular "roundel" with, inside to outside, yellow star on red triangle, thin black line, thin white line, medium blue line?

Was that my suggestion on the roundels repository thread:

Jordan has a very similar flag, so a similar style maybe?  Large blue outer circle, thin white middle circle with a large black inner dot?  Add in the triangle with the star at whichever orientation you like.

Alternatively being a Peolpes Republic, you could have use a red cirle with yellow inner star, red traingle with yellow star, or a red outer star with yellow inner.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Yes, Mossie, that was your suggestion I mentioned in the post.  I have to admit, I'm not entirely sure how much I want the star to focus in on the roundel, but I'm looking for extra perspective on the flag to roundel conversion since extra eyes always help.
