re the 'gold screens' iv not got my references to hand but the side windows had a different thickness coating to the 'quarterlights' (these being slightly lighter in tone) the front screen itself looks pretty clear in photos and on 220 at Cosford

cheers, Joe

Thanks Joe

I'm just waiting for a Tamiya smoke paint to arrive
As this one is SEAC scheme i'm changing it slightly.

But the next few will be 'gold' once I work out the paint %'s
I'll do four or five complete sets at once, save getting it wrong or right hopefully on some and not others.

layout, 2x AIM9B + Shrike on one pylon and Harm on inboard pylon.

and same the other side
.

More photo's to come once I 'glaze ' the cockpit and get the wheels on her.

I.can recommend you get some simple posted boards.  White will reflect the light while a blue or green will give you a nice uncluttered background and/or ground cover to pose it on.   I use white to bounce light to increase the light on the subject. I've got a piece of the poster board cut in half length wise for this purpose,to good effect. I use the lights on my workbench and put one on each side. Give it a try and not only does it work very well but is also very inexpensive (a.k.a. - cheap).

Shrikes and HARMs? Odd combination!

The background "clutter" is confusing the autofocus. Try taking the pics against a blank, featureless background (eg. plain paper or fabric), and make sure you're in "macro" mode (look for a little tulip symbol) so the camera knows to focus up close.

Shrike and HARMS cos I can't get a definitive in service date for HARM and SHRIKE have been around since GOD was an A/C.

Going with AIM 9B's as they are definitely in the 'nam time frame/early mid 60's

Harm AGM-88A was being delivered to service units in 1983

Shrike AGM-45 was in production in 1963 so service entry would have ben around 18 months later roughly.

Stndard ARM AGM-78 was in service in 1968

All three of the above are the most common US anti-radar missiles flown.

My Bad,

I've got Shrike on triple pylon along with 2 x AIM9b's
and I've got AGM 78's on single pylon.

On a related matter
I was watching Flight of the Intruder a while back and they apparently were using HARM in 1967
Movie poetic licence maybe?

right, three coats of Tamiya smoke on the cockpit(internal) and glued into place
Final undercarriage bay doors on, just shock absorbers on the rear of the main u/c legs, camera bay, bay cover and access ladder and a coat of varnish and it'll be finished.

might dig out the Hasegawa markings for the various ordnance to finish it off.

darthspud

with the ruckload of Hasegawa weapons sets I have was a complete load out for two F14's of Pheonix's.
Just don't have the pylons to fit them to one of my, yet to be built, TSR's.

I have plans for
1 - USAF Natural Metal Finish and empty pylons.
2 - RAF "Spotswood" refueller maybe 9 Sqn or 32 Sqn, ventral/belly tank wing tanks (thanks Freightdog!)
3 - RN/FAA with up to 8 Phoenix, 4 on the belly and two on each wing hardpoint.
4 - RAF/Saudi - Gulf War II scheme with Ground Attack munitions/ Close Air support weapons
5 - No idea on this one
6 - or this one

think I have a TSR fixation
