As it says, need to find some possible Sqn. numbers for a night fighter squadron.  I'll try then to match up something with decals I already have --

Look up the aircraft Types such as the Mosquito, Meteor and Javelin and then look up the Squadron history to get a feel for what are proper Night Fighter units

Thanks David, I had a look through the site Geoff posted and found some others too, would any of those you've listed flown the Mosquito before hand ?  I found 23 Sqn transitioned to night fighters after doing intruder operations and I just happen to have some decals for that.  But if you have another suggestion ----

I know 85 flew the Mosquito NF post WW2 and I suspect a couple of others did but I'll have to check tonight (US time)

Thanks David, I'm in Mountain Time Zone so you're only a couple of hours ahead.

Looks like squadrons that operated Mosquito NFs for several years post WW2 were:

23, 25, 29, 39, 85, 141, 264, 500, 504, 608, 609, 616

Oh yes, 23 were a good unit.

I'm biased because I flew in my first jet with them, their Vampire T11 Station Hack at the time they were flying Vampire NF10s from West Malling.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
