I know this has happened to you.
You grab one of your favorite brushes to do a little painting and the thing is stiff as a board! One purchase at a hobby mart or art store can end the frustration. Once you do your normal cleaning process rinse the brush with this stuff then lather it up and rinse it again. This stuff keeps brushes soft and ready to use.

I use something similar that I got from a local arts store. The tub was relatively expensive but has lasted for ever, and has undoubtedly saved a small fortune in brushes. I tend to give my brushes a good cleaning with it every few weeks or so find it very good for keeping the flat ones in order in particular.

I find it is great if you use more than one kind of paint also. I also do oil paintings, (Sorry, no aircraft or what ifs), so getting the brushes really clean is important as it lets me use them for both hobbies.

In dire cases, you might also try oven cleaner - great stuff that not only removes old paint from models, but also from brushes. Takes time, though, but it IS effective!

Hair Spray is too slow.  Downunder, we need instant kills when we're dealing with spiders.  Afterall, we have some of the world deadliest and they aren't rare!  ;D

From brush cleaner to spider annihilator? The ways the minds work in here it leaves me no room to wonder where the ideas for whiffs come from! :D :D :D

I prefer hair spray for that.

Was being pestered by a wasp whilst ironing so it got a spray with starch - that worked instantly

There's a punch-line here about "stiffs"  just  clamouring for a joke to  arrive.
