Hey Guys, i was Recently Shopping at my Local Dollar Store when i bought an Item that Inspired me! i Bought a 2 pack of Coffee Scoops, when i turned one upside down, it looked to me like the Bridge for a Ship, military or Otherwise, FYI, the Scoops are 1/8 Cup capacity, one Black and one White,Anyone Ever Build a Ship or Submarine with Such Items? I'm Thinking a GA Style Warship might be Do able, but thought I'd Ask You Guys. What Say You? Thanks for Looking. Dan

It would be easier to say if there was a pic to go with. As with all found objects every person see's a new possibility. Give it a shot I say!

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

i know, but my Youngest Brother is the 'Technical Expert' when it comes to that Stuff ;) if you're interested, Google Dollar Tree Coffee Scoops to see what they look like,OK? Dan

You mean these?

I can see exactly what you mean about using them for bridge structures upside down! If you've ever read James H. Cobb's 'Choosers of the Slain' the picture of his  Whiff-ship 'USN Cunningham' has a bridge pretty much like that one.

Nice find!

Didn't some of the M.a.K models use scoops of various sorts as big body sections? I seem to recall that the Nutrocker hover tank body is some kind of upside-down kitchen scoop.

The side view really shows what you were talking about. I agree, a sub sail or starship part for sure. Others will surely see other possibilities.

Regarding my plans to do a Ship, would it work better to do a Full hull or a Waterline Build? Dan

That, my friend, is a matter of personal preference & what you are willing to build. Your choice, dude!
