New SMW Sci fi based award.

One of the announcements made at this years IPMS(UK) agm was that there will be a new Scfi based trophy.

Its the Gerry Anderson memorial trophy. And it has been approved/endorsed by the late Gerry Anderson's son, who has taken over the running of the business assets of the great man.

It hasnt been totally firmed up yet, but I am expecting it to cover any sci fi subject.

It could prove a popular award

Guys, I'm Flttered to Have name Tossed into the Ring So to Speak,but i Would like to know if SMW is Ever held in th U.S.? i might be a 'Yank',but it's a Question i hope I'm Not sounding like a Nutter for Asking

SMW = Scale Model World.

It's the largest plastic modelling show in the world and it's essentially the IPMS UK National event, and until it was re-named SMW it was in fact called 'The Nationals'. Almost by definition it can't be held anywhere else other than the UK, but there are equivalents elsewhere, not the least being the IPMS US Convention.
