Some vintage stuff - both concerning the models (built maybe 20 years ago...?) and also their origin. Last weekend I took out some vintage mecha kits of mine, dusted them a bit and took some beauty pics...

This here is a 1:72 scale Hasty F4X "Ironfoot" from the animation TV series "(Fang of the Sun) Dougram" from the early 80ies. This specific kit was distributed by RoG under their "Robotech" label, as a set together with a "Duey" helicopter. This kit is re-built from what I made of it in my early youth, so it shows some flaws - today it would look a bit different. ;)
The tanks are both ESCI kits, also from that era of mine - and the Ironfoot's livery was inspired by their respective US Army cammo scheme.

Enjoy  ;D

As a side note: NO, this is no Battletech, even though the Ironfoot's livery is not original. FASA actually stole the mecha designs from Macross, Dougramm and Orguss for their 1st generation mechs, due to a copyright hole in the USA. Complicated and shameful story. So, it's kinda tribute to the great mecha designs from Japan in the 80ies!  ;)

Nicely done. Dougram is on my list, but so are about a million other series!
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

For a moment I thought you'd be presenting a souped-up FX4 taxi... ;D

Nice.

Think the one I have may end up a casualty in one of my Heavy Lance dio ideas.

Actually, the FASA vs Harmony Gold Lawsuit, is a thing of Legend in the Classic Battletech Community, and FASA got the license to use the designs from the Japanese creators, till Harmony Gold bought the trade rights to all Japanese Anime coming into the US, and promptly sued FASA for Copywright Infringement. FASA settled because they weren't as big as Harmony Gold and couldn't afford to go to court over it. That's what really happened.
