Popeye

hello everyone!   I am an avid modeler, dabbling in plastic,  but have since made the jump in wood.   I used to do a lot of planes and cars,  but settled on large scale ships,  since Revell had a large selection.  as I mentioned,  the last three or so years,  I have been working with wood,  and I like it a lot.   a friend of mine gave me a Billing's Nordkap......it had been in his attic for over twenty years.  I built it using most .....if not all....of the original wood.
I love to bash things as well.   if I don't like a particular aspect in the kit......I'm not afraid to modify it or make it from scratch.  I found out about this site through a friend on another site.  he saw one of my latest builds "the M&M Fun Ship"  and he thought you folks might like to see it.  as soon as I figure out how to post pictures,  I will get 'er up here for you.   I have a few projects that I want to do......one is a kit bash of the Revell U.S.S. United States, a 1:96 sailing war ship.   it will be a combination of plastic and wood.    thanks for letting me join......I hope to contribute at least an ounce of insanity :)
