as I mentioned,  my wife has a lot of stuff.......a lot of it is in bins in the cellar {way too much to display}   she wanted the M&M characters on the deck......believe me.....it killed me to do this!  going down in the cellar,  looking through the bins,  we could not find any figures of the same scale.  I knew of one place where these could be had.....they are affixed on top of these bubblegum dispensers,  that are actually candy dispensers,  but made to look like BG dispensers.  not wanting to shell out the cash to buy five or six of them to get all the characters, I settled on these guys.   slightly larger than scale,  I felt that I could play with this a little,  since this is a novelty build.   I sent pictures to M&M/Mars........got only a yawn from them.  awwww,  who cares!

here are the pictures of the novelty:

Oh, it IS the chocolate covered peanuts!  :o

You needn't answer my query on the other thread then.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I was hoping there was figures involved. It looked a little empty on the deck. They might have to squeeze through the cabin doors sideways but that ok!

thanks for the good word gentlemen.......I was kinda hoping she didn't want to do this.  there are some figures that would fit better,  but they are the topper to what looks like a bubblegum dispenser.   at $8.00 a piece,  I wasn't going to buy them just to get the characters....I would have to get five or six of them!  {let's not forget the newest character,  the brown one}  so, I settled on these guys.   I figured on such a fantasy build,  I could play with the scale just a little.....and it made my wife very happy.

I have it pretty good.......my modeling tables are in the computer room,  and she doesn't even make a fuss with how messy they get.  she loves what I do with these ships so much,  she doesn't want me doing plastic anymore.  I think it's funny......one day we were at the local Hobby Lobby,  she saw a pirate ship she liked.....didn't have the heart to tell her that it is a plastic kit.  I'll just wait till I pull it out to build it......just look for the smoke gents...just look for the smoke

Ha - the perfect touch!

Arn't big companies dorks sometimes? You'd think with the kind of following that your wife's collecting and your building that they'd be falling over themselves to promote/encourage it, but instead they seem terrified of anything they're not in control of......

yea Weaver......you be right.   I don't care though.......my wife is happy to have something that's  'one of a kind'.  I asked her if she would sell it.....she said .....sure,  with enough zeros...ha...ha   there are no plans for it....the only thing I jotted down was the plan-o-gram for the dance floor.  I don't have a copyright on it either.  the hull isn't exact to the Billing's specs...not that it would be a problem.

I got the same thing from the Midwest company.  I bought one of their Maine lobster boats.  I built it,  but I went too far with my bashing and I ruined the subject.  so I built another one from scratch,  using the plans,  and turned the original one into a pleasure boat.......put seats in it and a swim platform on the transom.  I have it rigged for water skiing......I still need to finish the skis

nice kit,  but they only give you two lobsters for props ;)
