The Tripods (Novel / BBC Sci-Fi Series)

Didn't find any similar topic by using the forum's search function, so I decided to simply start that topic here.

I've always been a big fan of the Tripods since I saw it on TV in late 80's.
Finally I got then to read all of the books too.
Surfing recently to figure out more about it, I came across this:







Here the link to how Martin got to build his Tripod.
Very interesting and promising technique. And great modeling job he did on this one too.

Would be great, if I could order one at i materialize...
By any luck, Martin might be reading these lines.... 

However, again, this 3D printing has big potential for our whiffery in general.
