Futzing around with the stash I have discovered that the wingroot dimensions of the 1/72 Matchbox
Wellesley and the 1/32 Revell AG ASK-21 sailplane are almost identical, in length and thickness.

So ...  ;D

Now those would be some SERIOUSLY long wings!  ;D ;D ;D

And I have samples of both kits in my loft too.

I bet the Duo Discus wings, which are even LONGER, wouldn't be too far off the same chord as well.  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Mossie

Funnily enough I was picking up the wings of K21 recentley and thinking with scalorama they would go nicely on something Vickers in 1/72.  My mind was on a Wimpey Mk.V or VI, although I don't have one to check fit.

The Duo Discus wings are a little less in chord kit, but also in thickness.  Might work for something a bit smaller like a Mossie, I can check that one.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
