BdB (Brian da Basher) posted this marvelous swept wing F-80, Kit will probably love it

You can find more about it here;

I'm surprised it doesn't have spats if Brian did it.  ;D ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Maybe those are not drop tanks but contain wheels...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I like the "fake" canopy a lot, very subtle work. Didn't we have a similar combo here some time ago, last year? Was a P-80/F-86 mash-up, and I also did an F-94/86 hybrid. IIRC, those were based on whiffy profile drawings.

DogfighterZen

Very nice P-80, wouldn't have much of a roll rate but would probably be a good high altitude bird. :thumbsup:

It was Pacopepe's Sabrestar: http://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php/topic,40221.msg677831.html#msg677831

Madoc

Nicely done.

Given how much effort Lockheed put in to developing and upgrading the P-80 airframe, I'm surprised they didn't try something like this themselves!
Wherever you go, there you are!

Logan Hartke

One could say that they tried something along those lines with the XF-90, but they probably waited a bit too long for that development, especially compared to North American, for example.

Cheers,

That's very cool. Love the tip tanks. I's fair over the original intakes and make them conformal fuel tanks.
