In the universe that exists between my ears, the Royal Navy asked Fairey if the Firefly  FB.Mk.6 could be improved. This is the developmental prototype, as tested by the FAA.

This is the Airfix kit built OOB with the exception of the Shackelton propeller unit salvaged from a scrapped model. I used Xtracolor paints and scrap-box decals. The spinner is in the Blue paint used on the original build about 40 years ago.

Adios, Larry.

A Firelfy with contraprops looks AWESOME!

But I keep asking myself whatever did you do with the rest of the Shack?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Another really nice one --

Did you know that the actual Firefly Mk.8 also had a cowling very similar to the Shackletons
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike
