From what I was told the first example of radar involved a communications experiment in '22 whereby two Navy personnel were sending a signal and found that a wooden ship obstructed their communications and realized they could actually use it for harbor defense.  It was reported to higher authorities and was rejected.

I'm wondering, did any of those higher authorities include people in the Army?
That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.
