And here i am again, but this time without photos ( sorry ).

For now, i have three Harriers in mind:

1) Harrier AV-8C+ , or the one that you have seen in photos. It will be a USMC Harrier, a sort of bridge between the A-4M, the AV-8C and the new AV-8B, using tecnologies from all of these planes, and so creating a better harrier with the existing hardware.
Camouflage will probably be a low visibility 3 tone grey scheme, or something similar.

2) Harrier AV-8I, an israeli Harrier, essentially an AV-8A with new gunpods and some very little improvements, like chaff and flare dispenser and RWR antennae. It will be armed with bombs and maybe rockets.
Camouflage will be the classic Israeli three tone ( someone has some suggestion about the acrilic colours i may use to reproduce it? ).

3) Harrier AV-8Something, an old AV-8A renewed with ventral gunpods take from AV-8B and some new weapons, as well as some moden weapons, like a couple of LGBs or 4 CBUs, with some modification for the nose too, even tought i still haven't decided witch country it will be, or what kind of nose modification ( even tought i would not include a radar, since it would look too mutch like a poor man Sea Harrier ... ), nor i have decided the camouflage.

With the two already builded/ painted, i have finished all my 1/144 first generation harriers.

What did you think?

And here i am again! Did you miss me? No? ... ok, nevermind ...  ;D
This time with photos!

The harrier is almost completed, and here's the pictures:

I still have to add the american markings to the sides of the fuselage, the yellow band on the bombs and finish the tailplanes, especially the upper part. Plus re-touch the canopy, and find a better way to paint the chaff and flare launcher. Oh, and add the radar altimeter panel on the bottom of the fuselage.

EDIT: Ok, resized the photos to 800, i hope it's better now. The light isn't all that great, i'll try to do them again later tonight or tomorrow.
Do you have some suffestion for the chaff and flare launcher?

Oh, and a little spoiler: I'm working on a israeli harrier: i've done two 127mm ZUNI rocket launchers and a couple of decent gunpods.

She's looking ready for action now ! Love the idea of the bombs....probably going to use that one at some point.

The pics look fine. Just a bit big for my liking. Always a pain when you have to scroll around to see the whole thing..... :banghead:

I like the idea of the Israeli one. I'm a big fan of the early Harrier and that idea sounds great.

Ctrl-minus shrinks the page size in steps and Ctrl-plus makes it larger. Ctrl-zero brings it back where you started from.

Having said that, it IS a pain to have to do it, and shrinking artwork to a maximum width of 800 pixels always a good idea.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Captain Canada
