Another Hobbycraft kit finished.

Here is the 1/48 scale Hobbycraft Bf 109K-4 that was recently finished.

Before you roll your eyes and think to yourself ''oh no another 109'' this model is of an extremely rare aircraft.
This Bf 109 was an early production K-4 that survived the war mostly intact and was one of the many 109's that flew to Neubiberg to surrender to American forces on May 8th 1945, what makes this K-4 so unique is it was fitted with an early style short metal tail, why this happened I have no idea but most likely the original tall tail was damaged and a tail from a grounded G-6 or G-14 was bolted on to keep the K-4 in service.

My model had the tall tail removed and a short tail from another Hobbycraft 109 kit was glued on and blended into the fuselage but aside from this the model was built O.O.B.
Paints used were Model Master enamels and markings for this ''white 14'' came mostly from my decal spares box.

I tried to take the pictures of this model in a style similar to the photographs of many of the 109's that surrendered at Neubiberg.

I wanted the two Hobbycraft kits out of the way before I post pictures of the other new 109 built from the Hasegawa kit, expect pictures soon.
