Apologies as this is not an upcoming event as such, but here`s a selection of shots from todays Cockpit Fest at NAM.

Lets start with a view of old RAF Winthrope`s runway.............,

Got `buzzed` by the BBMF Hurricane.....

One of the guys also supplies lighting kits for aircraft and sci-fi which look outstanding.

...... and I leave you with news that following Han Solo`s accident earlier in the week, the empire`s Health and Safety Executive have issued high vis jackets to all stormtroopers..........

Nice to see the blue TSR2 at its public debut in such exalted company.  :thumbsup:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Looks like a re-enactment of the finale in Gavin Lyall's 'Shooting Script'.  ;D

The Hawk in question was being flown into RAF Cranwell to be painted and become a Red Arrow. IIRC, the wheels were not lowered and it bellied onto the runway at which point both crew ejected. The Hawk then continued on it`s way across the airfield, demolishing a small out building before coming to rest in the ATC car park after writing off a few cars.

That would of made an interesting insurance claim, I can just see the reading the forms, "Your car damaged by a what?"
