How about the IDF M113 fire support turret put on a LAV? It was a 60mm(66mm?) high velocity gun turret It was designed for an IDF M113 But I don't think it went into production
Yeah,I know the load is late. But the voices keep telling me to pull over and clean the guns.

I think Chile armed some of their 6x6 Piranha with that weapon.
To the individual soldiers, *everything* is a frontal assault!

One of the guys in our club is a LAV fan and did some models of some concepts Aussie ASLAV variant What if's

Firstly an idea for carting stuff, there is never enough room in ACV type vehicles for stuff.. his idea using a ASLAV ACV/Fitter rear compartment as an armoured trailer

Secondly a ASLAV based Recon/Observation platform

Both very workable really

The ASLAV trailer is too cool -- especially if those 'extra' four wheels were driven via a power take-off!

But the ASLAV-S (Surveillance) is a real vehicle based on the ASLAV-PC (Bison in Canucki). The ASLAV-S has ground surveillance radar, cameras, etc. near the top of that Sabre mast.

[Most sources say the ASLAV-S GSR is the RASIT 3190B. Can anyone confirm? I thought the ADF's RASIT were to be replaced by AM STARs.]
RASIT went out in 2001, was briefly  replaced by MSTAR untill the AMSTAR was bought into service in 2005.  After all this time, we're still yet to get the AMSTAR working properly on the mast for the ASLAV-S.
