Hi fellow whiffers

Now my own favourite, my Canadian Tonka (Revell 1/72), depicted as over Iraq in 2003, flying longe range precision strikes, armed with two Storm Shadows, two ALARM, two ASRAAM, two Sky Shadow pods, colours as RAF GR.4 (quite worn off), markings as CAF Hornets wear.

Enjoy!

Looks good,
I thought the Panavia 200 Tornado was the German single seater, concept :banghead:

Nice Tornado, Aragorn.

McColm: the one-seater was the Panavia 100.

Aragorn

Hi McColm

The "200" has been the whole damn thing, as far as I know the single
seater didn't even had his own number.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

AFAIK they never did build a 100, or did they?

No. The Germans did want a single-seater, but decided in the end not to pursue a separate version.

The Germans did fly with just the pilot during early trials. The British used imperil measurements whilst the Germans and Italians used metric in the early production stages.
BAe did contract out when the first overhaul was due only to find that the wings had been fitted upside down.
Had a few glitches when flying low-level,parts used fall off and it was a very bumpy ride. Hence the medium level flights. Once these were resolved, a great aircraft was born.
