'A Glowplug' was the name given to Globemasters by their crews. So, Globemaster 111

It's a 747-400.

The '4 into 2' contrails that a -400 makes are unique AFAIK, even an A340 doesn't do that.

Having said that I've not seen a 747-8 contrailing yet, at least not one that I can identify properly, but they don't have the big winglets like the -400s.

Captain Canada

Isn't it a trait of all the 747 family ?

Sometimes, -400s do the '4 into 2' but much more than the earlier versions, and the '2' bit is much more defined because of the vortices generated by the winglets.
