Love it! Really looks good. Do you have a back-story for it, or is it just a "this is cool" build? Because it really is. ;D
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Heavens yes, writing the backstory is half the fun of building the model for me.  ;D

It's here :-

I posted a link to it way back at the start of this thread, but it's not in an obvious place so it bears repeating.

Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Thanks for the extra pics....love it ! The underside looks awesome. I can just imagine standing at the runway threashold watching these things come and go. I also like the placement of the 'fin flash' ! Funny tho, I hadn't noticed the prop arrrangement before.....nice !

Wow, you sure take on a challenge! Awesome job!
Now to build a big enough shelf to display it on!

I wonder if this would work with some floats added?

Yes, that is a problem.  ;D It currently lives on top of a wardrobe in our bedroom, only one wing tip poking over the edge to show that it's there.

Not in the real world, it was pretty unstable, in pitch and yaw, anyway without adding any more instability. Even as a model it'd be difficult as finding floats big enough would be a problem, it's over 2 FEET wide!  :o

I like the backstory. A magnificent looking model - especially the underside finish.

That was really flukey, NM finishes have never been one of my skills, but this time it just worked fine, and I'll use the same technique again for sure.

I primed it with Halfords Grey Primer, and then gave it two light coats of Halfords Silver, the basic colour, not any special car manufacturers shade. Then I masked up various panels and hand painted them with 2-3 different Citadel acrylics, Mithril Silver being one I remember. 2-3 coats of Klear topped off the paint job before the decals were applied and then I overlayed it all with one coat of Humbrol Satin varnish.
