I DO wish some decal manufacturers wouldn't be so penny pinching that the packets that they ship their products in are so small that you can't get the darn things out without bending them! Even worse they make it virtually impossble to put them BACK into the packet without damaging the corners!  :banghead:

I've just had to trim a couple of mm off both sides of a couple of sheets to get them back into their packets and even then it was a tight fit, grrrrrrrrrr.......

I prefer to open the packets on two ajoined sides then store the decals in Zip Lock bags with all the air pressed out.

The particular supplier who gave me the grief y'day packs his stuff in zip lock bags anyway, which makes it even HARDER to get them back in! If the packets were just 5 mm wider (that's just over 3/16" for Imperialists like me....) it would make all the difference.

Had exactly the same problem yesterday Kit. The inside measurement of the envelope and width of the sheet were exactly the same size so  :banghead:
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I always wonder how they got the darn things in there undamaged in the first place!  :banghead:

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Honestly not something I've ever had an issue with...?

I'm saying freezer bags son! The kind you can put a five pound chub of hamburger in if you cut the chub in half.

'Son'???

I've got almost 10 years on you!

But I understand what you mean about freezer bags, maybe not so common over here but I've seen them somewhere.

So my Foghorn Leghorn accent didn't come across well? Dang this coal-fired steam-powered computer to heck! I bet my dial-up internet connection is out-dated too!

...or Lakeland Ltd. I think your nearest is in Hereford.....not too far from the model centre.

It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

deathjester

Either Tesco, Lidl or Aldi do some boxes of generousley sized ziplock bags which I find ideal for holding decals.

deathjester

Tesco's do a fair sized bag of Ziplock Sandwich Bags - as do Lidl's.  They are plenty wide enough for most decal sheets... ;D  That's what I use for all my decals!
