Whif inspiration is letting me down, lately. Heck, any inspiration is letting me down.
But to keep in touch with the scale world I pulled this kit from the insulation layer. I had started on this a couple of years ago by painting the engine bay pink (that's about it regarding the whif-part ) and am now trying to get as much details under the bonnet as I can get away with. Aoshima, the kitmaker, provided the basic engine, battery and other small bits and the rest is either sourced from the parts box or scratch build. Plumbing and wiring is mostly a fantasy job, and not finished yet, so don't go nitpicking, please

Thanks for watching

Nit-picking?   :o

You HAVE to be joking, it looks great so far. Where do you get the 1/24 battery clamps? I've never seen anything like them before.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Hi Kit, thanks for the kind words.
The battery clamps (a whole fret of 'em, in fact) came with a resin battery I bought years ago from hiroboy dot com.

Looks really sharp to me. once you finish pinking out the engine bay a nice coating of Lime Ice Metallic paint on the outer body would add a nice shock value when the bonnet come up.

Thanks gents  <_<
@Go4fun: for 'shock value' I think I'm going for boring grey primer, or a darkish grey paint, with a gloss coat and some black detailing for the outside. That way the pink (which is metallic too, it just doesn't really show in the opening pic) really stands out. But that stage is still far removed from where I am now

Sounds like a plan. Keep up the posts on this one as I like the way you're going.

Amazing details in the engine!

I am a 86 fan. Both of them, the Trueno and the Levin have a nice design.
